Colombia Passion Fruit HUILA
Huila is a department located in the southern part of the Andean region, currently the primary department in Colombia recognized for its quality and production. Huila is the epicenter of the world's best specialty coffees. This is confirmed by the repeated certifications that the coffee producers, known as "opitas," receive in the "Cup of Excellence" competition.
The coffee growers in this department are distinguished for producing coffee while respecting the environment around them, paying attention to soil conservation and fertility. They are aware that this is the key to improving profitability and the quality of their lives. Currently, there are 139,138 hectares cultivated, spread across 35 municipalities.
Cadefhuila, a cooperative established in 1963, represents the coffee growers of Huila like San Miguel.
